Sash Window Renovation Cumbria – Holme Park Manor Kendal, Cumbria
We were commissioned to carry out restoration work on the amazing building Holme Park Manor in Kendal, Cumbria.
This was a phased refurbishment contract involving the development of what had once been a private school into six new and separate apartments. The contractor needed expert restoration on 46 sash windows, returning them to their original glory.
We carried out sash window renovation at this Cumbria location, which included all timber repair to the boxes, sashes and sills, where possible. Then, we installed our Draught Proofing System. Some of the sills needed to be replaced with new Hardwood Sills and there was an amount of Re-Glazing that needed to be done to the windows. This was due to cracks and missing panes of glass.
Some of the windows were beyond economic repair. Where this was the case, the windows were replaced with single glazed sashes to match the originals.
It was such a great improvement once the project in Cumbria was finished!
