Blackpool Library

We were appointed by Blackpool Council to carry out extensive refurbishment on this Grade II listed building pictured on the right. The Sash windows team were apart of a £3 million redevelopment of the towns main library, we’re sure the Blackpool legacy will continue to stand tall!

When we were approached, the Council said it was “looking for something exceptional from this project, to set an example at a national level of innovative design concepts and modern services being offered that can be applied to a Grade 2 Listed Building and the traditional windows it has.”

Blackpool Central library is one of a few remaining original Carnegie buildings, and this magnificent structure was built back in 1911. Councillor Tony Williams, cabinet member for culture and communities said “Central Library is a truly iconic building that is significant not just in Blackpool’s history but nationally as one of the small collection of original Carnegie buildings that set a bench mark for all libraries and brought learning to the masses”
