New Double Glazed Sashes: Lymm, Cheshire
We got a phone call from a customer in Lymm, Cheshire, explaining they were having problems with their draughty sash windows. The bay window was blowing a gale that much the curtains where moving and some of the timber sash windows had become stuck and unable to open.
After making a request for a free survey from Jeff Gordon and we happily obliged the next day. After going through the options of either renovating or replacing they decided the best option to fit their requirements was to replace the old sashes with new double glazed units.
We explained the procedure and once the new sashes had been manufactured we set about replacing them. The new double glazed sashes had been manufactured to replicate the old existing windows to retain the heritage of the property. We inserted the new double glazed sashes into the existing timber frames which we had renovated prior then draught proofed all the windows to meet their original requirements of eliminating any draughts into the property.
The new double glazed sashes have certainly given the property new life and will continue to for the next 100 years.
